Dr. Drew Casey is a native of Columbus, Ohio. He attended the University of Akron, majoring in biology, before returning home to Ohio State University College of Optometry.
Dr. Casey spent three months in Rio Rancho, New Mexico as an intern before completing his education at the Salt Lake City VA system / Moran Eye Center, focusing on ocular disease and specialty contacts. While escaping the midwest’s weather was a driving factor, Dr. Casey felt a calling to settle in New Mexico — 32 of 33 counties, including Bernalillo, are underserved by optometrists who specialize in medical diagnosis and treatment.
Dr. Casey is a full-scope optometrist with specialties ranging from routine vision correction to managing and treating complex medical conditions such as glaucoma, macular degeneration and more.
In 2025, Casey Optical Too was named Best Eyeglass Shop in Albuquerque at the Albuquerque The Magazine Best of the City Awards — a recognition we owe entirely to our patients.
